Parece ser um pouco controverso e não haver evidências suficientes de que mastodontes seriam totalmente coberto de pêlos, especialmente em regiões tropicais, da forma como algumas representações antigas mostram. Por isso achei que um meio-termo poderia ser adequado. Feito no Blender 3D.
Some rendering and lighting tests and studies of my Notiomastodon platensis. It seems to be a little controversial and there is not enough evidence that mastodons would be totally covered with hair, especially in tropical regions, as shown in some ancient representations.
